VHA’s mission is to honor America’s Veterans by providing exceptional healthcare that improves their health and well-being. To achieve this mission, VHA needs to attract top talent in healthcare by promoting their organization as an innovative, fulfilling, and exciting place to work.

Mind & Media produced the first set of PSAs, video and audio, on the theme of innovation. We edited their existing script not only to fit the time limit for the PSA, but to ensure that each word was impactful. The PSA highlighted VHA as a place of possibility, of service, of transformation – and where people of all ages and experience can find a rewarding career. As this PSA was created during COVID and we weren’t able to film on site, we used video from VHA and sourced material to create a PSA that received a lot of attention. With dynamic footage and the use of 2D and 3D elements for transitions, we created a video that was energetic and inspiring.

With the success of the “Innovation” campaign, VHA requested Mind & Media’s help to develop a new PSA to continue increasing job applications and hiring. We developed the “Healing Hands” PSAs, showing how diverse teams make a difference by working hand in hand at VHA to help Veterans heal and live their best lives. The PSA was shot on location, filming nurses, doctors, and surgeons and showing healing hands in the context of a VA hospital. Filming on site allowed us to deliver documentary-style footage and a high-quality film experience, showcasing the importance of health care workers at VHA.

“Healing Hands” won a Gold Viddy Award in 2022 and has achieved almost two million views on YouTube in the past year.
